High speed rail project
to take off
In October 2015, Indonesia signed a joint project
with China to build the first high speed rail service and the project was
confirmed on January 21. The
construction will last for three years and trains will start operating
in 2019. This project was also financed through a
Chinese loan on a 40-year period so banks
will provide most of the funds.
The railway will be 142.3 kilometer long
and will connect the capital city of Jakarta to the textile hub of Bandung, the
travel time between the two central hubs with
a current conventional train was 3 hours. With
this new railway, it will be reduced to 36 min. The train will reach
an approximate speed of 200 to 250km/h.
This project will bring a lot of benefits to Indonesia as
it will generate 40,000 jobs during construction, with a
positive economic impact.

En octobre 2015, l’Indonésie a signé un contrat de projet commun avec la Chine pour
construire le premier train à grande vitesse en Indonésie et le 21 janvier dernier,
le projet a été approuvé.
La
construction est prévue pour les 3 prochaines années, ainsi les trains devraient entrer en service en 2019.
Ce
projet a été financé en majeure partie par des prêts chinois sur une durée de 40 ans, ainsi les banques
sont les principaux acteurs de ce projet.
La voie ferrée sera construite
sur une longueur de 142.3 kilomètres et connectera la ville de Jakarta,
capitale de l’Indonésie, à Bandung. La durée du trajet entre les deux villes
est conventionnellement de 3h ; avec la mise en place de cette nouvelle voie,
elle sera réduite à 36 min. Le train aura une vitesse approximative de 200 à 250km/h.
Ce projet important apportera de nombreux
bénéfices à l’Indonésie, il génèrera 40.000 emplois pendant la
construction, créant un impact positif sur l’économie indonésienne.
